Marketplace Policies

Sellers must complete SlabGeek's required identity-verification process before publishing their first listing.

Identity verification is currently provided through Stripe Identity.

The public Identity verified indicator means the seller successfully completed SlabGeek's identity-verification requirement.

It does NOT mean:

• SlabGeek endorses the seller
• SlabGeek guarantees the seller
• SlabGeek authenticated the seller's cards
• SlabGeek guarantees a transaction

Sellers may not attempt to bypass identity verification or use another person's identity.

The standard listing process is:

1. Enter the PSA certification number
2. Confirm the identified card
3. Upload photos of the actual slab
4. Set an asking price
5. Complete the seller authenticity attestation
6. Publish the listing

Sellers are responsible for ensuring the listing accurately represents the exact physical slab being offered.

A seller may edit the asking price and permitted listing information after publication.

Sellers may pause a listing or mark it sold when appropriate.

A card that is no longer available must not remain actively listed for sale.

SlabGeek uses PSA certification information to help identify cards and reduce listing errors.

When SlabGeek displays “PSA certification matched,” it means the certification information associated with the listing matched information available through SlabGeek's data sources.

It does NOT mean SlabGeek physically inspected or authenticated the slab.

A legitimate PSA certification number does not by itself prove that the physical slab pictured or shipped is genuine.

Sellers may not:

• use another slab's certification number
• intentionally enter false certification information
• reuse a certification number across multiple physical listings
• misrepresent a card's grade, set, card number, edition, printing, language, or variant

Seller listings must include clear photographs of the actual physical slab being offered.

Every listing requires:

• front of slab
• back of slab

Photos should clearly show the card and PSA holder.

Sellers may not use:

• another seller's slab photos
• stock images as the actual-slab photos
• photographs of a different certification number
• materially altered photographs intended to conceal defects or misrepresent the item

SlabGeek may separately display canonical card artwork for marketplace browsing. Canonical artwork is not a photograph of the physical slab being sold.

When publishing a listing, sellers certify that:

“I certify that I own or am authorized to sell this card, the photos show the actual slab being offered, and to the best of my knowledge the card and PSA holder are authentic, unaltered, and accurately represented.”

This is a representation made by the seller.

SlabGeek does not independently guarantee the seller's representation.

Sellers choose their own asking prices.

SlabGeek does not require sellers to price cards at estimated market value.

SlabGeek may display:

• SlabGeek Est. Value
• SlabScore
• recent sales
• historical pricing
• PSA population information
• other market information

These are informational tools.

They are not:

• appraisals
• guaranteed values
• guaranteed sale prices
• investment advice
• recommendations to buy or sell

Sellers remain responsible for determining their asking price.

SlabScore helps users understand how a listing's asking price compares with SlabGeek's available market data.

A high SlabScore does not mean:

• the card is a good investment
• its value will increase
• the card is authentic
• the seller is trustworthy
• the transaction is guaranteed

SlabScore is a pricing-information tool only.

If SlabGeek does not have sufficiently reliable pricing data for the exact card, grade, edition, printing, or variant, SlabGeek may choose not to display an estimated value or SlabScore.

Buyers may make offers on eligible listings.

Current offer rules:

• offers below the platform's permitted minimum may be rejected
• current minimum is 70% of the asking price
• offers currently expire after 48 hours unless accepted, declined, countered, withdrawn where permitted, or otherwise closed
• sellers may accept, decline, or counter
• buyers may accept, decline, or counter seller counters where supported

Users must make offers in good faith.

The following are not permitted:

• fake offers
• offers intended only to manipulate marketplace activity
• coordinated price manipulation
• repeated abusive or spam offers

Buyers and sellers may communicate through SlabGeek about listings and offers.

Users must not use messaging to:

• harass or threaten another user
• send spam
• impersonate another person
• attempt fraud
• send malicious links
• solicit prohibited activity
• misuse another user's personal information

SlabGeek may review marketplace communications when reasonably necessary for safety, support, fraud prevention, abuse investigations, reports, or enforcement.

Keep transaction-related communication on SlabGeek so there is a record if a problem occurs.

When a seller accepts an offer, SlabGeek connects the buyer and seller.

Arrange payment and shipping directly with the seller.

An accepted offer records the agreed price on SlabGeek.

It does NOT mean:

• payment has been made
• SlabGeek has collected money
• funds are held in escrow
• the card has shipped
• the transaction has been completed

Buyer and seller are responsible for completing the transaction directly.

SlabGeek currently does not process payment for card transactions.

Buyers and sellers choose and arrange payment directly.

SlabGeek may provide informational guidance about third-party payment methods.

PayPal Goods & Services

May provide purchase protection for eligible transactions.

Venmo purchase payment

Purchase protection may apply to eligible transactions when properly marked as a purchase.

Eligibility for any third-party protection is determined entirely by that provider and its terms.

SlabGeek does not guarantee third-party purchase protection.

Users are responsible for understanding a payment method before sending or accepting money.

Buyer and seller arrange shipping directly.

Sellers are expected to:

• ship the exact slab agreed upon
• package the slab appropriately
• ship to the address agreed with the buyer
• provide tracking when agreed or reasonably appropriate
• communicate promptly about shipping issues

For higher-value cards, users should consider:

• tracked shipping
• appropriate insurance
• signature confirmation

SlabGeek does not currently provide shipping labels, control carriers, insure shipments, or guarantee delivery.

Buyers may save a private shipping address on SlabGeek.

Saved addresses are not publicly displayed.

After an offer is accepted, a buyer may choose to share their shipping address with the applicable seller.

Sellers may use that address only as reasonably necessary to complete the transaction.

Sellers must not:

• publish it
• sell it
• use it for unrelated marketing
• share it unnecessarily
• otherwise misuse it

0% seller marketplace fees

0% marketplace fees does not mean a transaction has no costs.

Buyers or sellers may separately incur:

• payment-provider fees
• shipping costs
• insurance
• taxes
• currency conversion
• other third-party expenses

SlabGeek may introduce optional paid products or change its marketplace fee structure in the future.

Any applicable SlabGeek fees should be disclosed before they are charged.

Because SlabGeek does not currently process payment or fulfillment, buyers and sellers are responsible for handling transaction cancellations directly.

Users should communicate promptly if they cannot complete an agreed transaction.

Repeatedly accepting offers or committing to purchases without intending to complete transactions may result in marketplace restrictions.

SlabGeek may track reports of failed transactions for marketplace safety.

Buy Now and SlabGeek checkout are currently paused. While paused, every listing, including listings marked "Sold by SlabGeek", works by offer and message: once an offer is accepted, the buyer and seller arrange payment and shipping directly with each other, and SlabGeek does not process the payment. The terms below continue to apply to orders already placed through Buy Now.

Orders sold by SlabGeek (listings marked "Sold by SlabGeek" with Buy Now):

Due to the collectible nature of graded Pokémon cards, SlabGeek does not currently accept returns for a change of mind.

If your order arrives damaged, is materially different from the listing, or never arrives, contact SlabGeek support. We'll investigate the issue and work toward an appropriate resolution, including a refund when warranted.

Your applicable legal rights are unaffected.

Direct transactions with other sellers:

SlabGeek does not currently provide a blanket return policy or money-back guarantee for direct transactions.

Buyers and sellers are responsible for agreeing upon and resolving:

• returns
• refunds
• cancellations
• shipping damage
• lost shipments
• payment disputes
• incorrect items
• items materially different from their listings

Payment-provider protections may apply depending on the payment method used.

Users should contact the applicable payment provider where appropriate.

Users should also report suspected fraud, counterfeit slabs, serious misrepresentation, or abusive behavior to SlabGeek.

SlabGeek may investigate and take marketplace/account action but does not guarantee reimbursement.

Buyers are expected to:

• review the complete listing
• inspect actual slab photographs
• review PSA certification information
• ask questions when necessary
• make offers in good faith
• use an appropriate payment method
• understand applicable payment protections
• provide accurate shipping information
• communicate promptly
• treat sellers respectfully

Buyers should independently evaluate cards and prices before transacting.

Sellers are expected to:

• own or be authorized to sell every listed card
• possess or control the card
• accurately represent the exact slab
• use the correct PSA certification number
• upload photographs of the actual slab
• accurately disclose material information
• keep availability and asking price current
• communicate promptly
• ship the exact card agreed upon
• package cards safely
• use buyer information only for completing the transaction
• mark listings sold when appropriate

The following are prohibited on SlabGeek:

• counterfeit cards or slabs
• stolen property
• fraudulent listings
• fake or mismatched PSA certification information
• listing cards a seller doesn't possess/control
• duplicate physical-slab listings
• misleading photographs
• intentionally incorrect card variants
• price or market manipulation
• fake sales
• fake offers
• coordinated manipulation
• harassment
• threats
• scams
• phishing
• spam
• impersonation
• misuse of personal information
• malicious links/software
• attempts to bypass account restrictions
• creating additional accounts to evade suspension
• abuse of SlabGeek systems or rate limits
• illegal activity

Use the Report link on any listing or seller profile to report suspicious listings or users.

Reports may include:

• suspected counterfeit
• incorrect certification
• misleading listing
• stolen card
• harassment
• fraud/scam attempt
• inappropriate behavior
• other policy violations

A report does not automatically mean the reported user violated a policy.

SlabGeek may review available information before taking action.

SlabGeek may take reasonable action to protect users and marketplace integrity.

Depending on the circumstances, this may include:

• removing a listing
• pausing a listing
• requesting additional information
• restricting marketplace functionality
• preventing additional listings
• suspending an account
• terminating an account

Enforcement decisions may consider the severity, frequency, evidence, user history, and risk to other users.

SlabGeek is not required to publicly disclose fraud-detection methods, internal safety signals, or sensitive investigation details.

SlabGeek shows three separate trust signals:

Identity verified

The seller completed SlabGeek's identity-verification requirement.

PSA certification matched

Listing certification information matched available PSA-related data.

Seller authenticity attestation

The seller represented that they own or are authorized to sell the card and, to their knowledge, the listed slab is authentic and accurately represented.

None of these signals means SlabGeek physically authenticated the card or guarantees the transaction.
